The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will welcome their first child in spring 2019, Kensington Palace has announced. Harry and Meghan informed members of the Royal family on Friday at the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank at Windsor Castle, where the duke and duchess were also married earlier in the year. Prince Harry was once third in line to the throne but has since moved down - and where will his first child fit into the succession? Most family members moved down a place in April following the birth of Prince Louis, whose arrival made history when he slotted in as fifth in line to the throne. The birth of Prince William and his wife Kate's third child meant the line of succession now sees the new Prince of Cambridge follow the Prince of Wales, Duke of Cambridge, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Historically, Princess Charlotte would have lost her spot to her younger brother, but new legislation introduced in 2013 overhauled the order of succession.  Prince...

The Duchess of Sussex is pregnant, Kensington Palace has announced. The happy news came hours after the couple were seen arriving in Sydney for their first major international tour since their Windsor Castle wedding in May. Following the news speculation is already mounting around the name of the next royal baby.  The baby is expected to take the surname Sussex in the same way that Prince William's children, George, Charlotte and Louis have taken his title Cambridge as their last name at school and nursery. Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice have previously used the surname York, after their father’s title Prince Andrew, the Duke of York. But the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's baby will not be a prince or a princess unless the Queen steps in. King George V - Harry's great great grandfather - limited titles within the royal family in 1917. The Duchess of Cornwall is not going to Princess Eugenie’s wedding because she is also hosting a shooting party at her Scottish home this weekend, sources have told the Telegraph. It was revealed earlier this week that Prince Charles’s wife Camilla will not attend the Friday nuptials at Windsor Castle, the only senior member of the royal family to miss the celebrations. Clarence House has said Camilla had a “previous commitment” attending a local school harvest festival near Birkhall, Charles’s home at Balmoral. Two other jobs were also announced this week. But an insider said: “The truth is that Camilla has a house party for a few friends. “They are arriving on Friday and will be there over the weekend. “The date of the wedding was known eight months ago so it’s strange Camilla organised her house party this weekend.” The alleged “snub” will fuel rumours that there is a royal rift at the heart of the monarchy. Camilla and Sarah Ferguson have never seen eye to...

A charity boss has told how the young Princess Eugenie was left profoundly moved after visiting her teenage counterparts suffering from cancer in hospital. The president of the Teenage Cancer Trust said the Queen’s granddaughter showed great maturity meeting cancer patients for the first time and trying to raise their morale in the darkest of circumstances. Speaking on the eve of Eugenie’s wedding Myrna Whiteson said she hoped the Princess, 28, would carry on her role as patron of the charity following her marriage to Jack Brooksbank, and that her husband would be able to share her charitable duties. Mrs Whiteson, who founded the Teenage Cancer Trust with her husband Dr Adrian Whiteson, said the two girls had become involved in its work from an early age through their mother, the Duchess of York. She told The Daily Telegraph: “The Duchess of York officially opened our first specialist cancer unit in 1990 and has attended almost all of our 28 subsequent new unit openings across th...
